This month we have on show a pair of boots worn by Manchester United's most recent World Player of the Year, Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo (click on his name for Biography)

 

  •  Authentic match worn football shirts are rare items, but match worn football boots are even harder to come by, never mind a pair worn by a player in the season that led him to be voted the best footballer in the world, ahead of the likes of Kaka' and Messi, and a season where he scored an incredible 42 goals and won the Premier League, Champions League and a plethora of individual titles.   

 

  • These Nike Mercurial Vapor football boots were specially made to fit Ronaldo's feet and his own particular requirements (avid Ronaldo followers will know that he wore boots that were actually different from his usual shoe size), and have special Nike specific personalisation which cannot be replicated by other companies.

 

  • The boots have special insoles in them which are also specifically moulded to the players feet

 

  • Ronaldo wore these boots in a number of colours including blue, dark green and a rather fetching Lime Green!
